Johnston posted a 2-0 record and was named the Tournament MVP helping top-ranked RIT to its third straight Liberty League Championship. On Friday, Johnston made 18 saves, allowing eight goals in a 19-9 win over St. Lawrence in the semifinals. Sunday, Johnston made 11 saves and picked up the win in a 13-11 win over No. 9 Union in the title game. In two games Johnston posted a 2-0 record with a 10.1 goals against average and a .604 save percentage.
