Cowburn was the leader of a stout RIT defense that allowed just nine goals during the Flower City Cup last weekend. On Friday, Cowburn, a close defender, caused three turnovers and recorded three ground balls, as the Tigers defeated No. 14 Western New England by a score of 13-4. On Sunday, Cowburn caused one turnover and had six ground balls, as the Tigers rolled to a convincing 17-5 win over Denison. Cowburn has 14 ground balls and four turnovers for the Tigers, who are currently the No. 4 team in the USILA Division III Coaches poll.
