ROCHESTER, NY -- Freshman forward
Adam Hartley (West Vancouver, British Columbia/Surrey Eagles) of the RIT men's hockey team was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Rookie of the Week on Monday for the week ending March 14, 2010. It is Hartley's second weekly honor in the last three weeks.
Hartley scored a goal and added three assists, as RIT swept Connecticut to move on to the AHA Semifinals. On Friday, Hartley made a nice cross ice to record the first assist on
Scott Knowles (Riverside, Ontario/)' goal in a 4-3 overtime win. On Saturday, Hartley was named the game's first star, scoring the game-winning goal, while and adding an assist in a 4-1 win. Hartley has seven points (3-4-7) over his last four games and now has 18 points (8-10-18) this season.
The Tigers return to action on Friday, as they play Canisius in the Atlantic Hockey Association Quarterfinals at Blue Cross Arena. That game gets underway at 4:05 p.m. If RIT wins on Friday, they will play the winner of Canisus or Sacred Heart in the AHA Championship at Blue Cross Arena. That contest gets underway at 7:05 p.m.
