ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Five RIT student-athletes were named Liberty League Performers of the Week announced Monday, October 16.
Senior swimmer
Drew Scheib was the Liberty League Men's Swimmer of the Week and junior diver
Gellert Kish was the Liberty League Men's Diver of the Week.
On the women's side, first-year swimmer
Madisen Pavoris was the Women's Swimming and Diving Rookie of the Week, while first-year diver
Maddi Williams earned Liberty League Women's Diver of the Week honors. First-year midfielder
Emma Pedro was the Liberty League Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.
Scheib won two individual events and was part of two winning relays to help lead No. 17 RIT to a 199-95 win over RPI in Saturday's season opener. The senior won the 200 butterfly (1:57.23) and the 100 freestyle (47.33). Scheib anchored the winning 200 medley relay and swam the opening leg in the victorious 200 freestyle relay.
Kish swept both diving events to help lead No. 17 RIT to a win over RPI in Saturday's season opener. The junior diver won the 3-meter competition with a score of 303.05 and the 1-meter board with a score of 309.25.
Pavoris won two individual events against in Saturday's season opener against RPI. The first-year swimmer was a winner in the 100 backstroke (1:01.60) and the 200 backstroke (2:12.10) in her collegiate debut.
Williams swept both diving events against RPI, Saturday. She won the 3-meter competition with a score of 267.95, and the 1-meter competition posting a score of 250.90.
Pedro scored in the 88th minute in RIT's 1-1 tie against Skidmore, Friday. The first-year midfielder tallied her third goal of the season off a corner kick to knot the game at 1-1.
