BROCKPORT, NY - The RIT wrestling team (2-3) closed out the fall semester by falling to The College at Brockport (1-0) by a score of 35-12 at Tuttle North Wrestling Center on Thursday evening.
Brockport opened up a 22-0 lead after the first four matches and split the final six matches with the Tigers.
RIT got on the board at 157 lbs., as freshman
Kaidon Winters (Athens, PA/Athens Area) continued his excellent season, earning his 11th pin and 19th victory of the season defeating Corey Farrell in 5:42. Freshman
Trevor Snow (Dexter, NY/General Brown) defeated Tim Collins by a score of 1-0 at 174 lbs., while sophomore
Wyatt Morris (Eaton, NY/Morrisville-Eaton) closed out the night by defeating Jacob Morris, 8-4.
The Tigers will return to action on Dec. 29-30, as they venture down to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. for the Citrus Open.
