ROCHESTER, NY – Senior Scott Fishel (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) of the RIT men's soccer team, was named to the 2016 Co-SIDA Academic All-District III Team on Thursday, Oct. 27 2016. Fishel is now eligible for selection to the Co-SIDA Academic All-America team, which will be announced in late November.

Fishel, a physician assistant major, holds a tremendous 3.93 grade point average. He has been selected to the Dean's List in the college of health and sciences all six semesters, and earned the RIT Presidential Scholarship. Fishel, a 2015 Co-SIDA Academic All-District selection, is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection. Fishel has started all but two games in his illustrious career at RIT. This season, he has logged 1,421 minutes and has tallied his lone goal this past Tuesday, which proved to be the game winner, in a 2-1 win at Ithaca College.

RIT is 5-7-3 overall and close out the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 29 when they host Hobart College.
