ROCHESTER, NY - RIT Athletics announced today that season tickets for the 2014-15 season, its inaugural season at the Gene Polisseni Center, go on sale to the general public on Thursday, July 24 at www.rithockey.com or by calling (585) 475-4121. Starting Tuesday, August 19, season and single-game tickets can also be purchased at the Gordon Field House Box Office, online at www.rithockey.com, or by calling the box office at (585) 475-4121.

Current season ticket holders can purchase season tickets on Tuesday, July 8, while the tickets for the RIT community go on sale Tuesday, July 22.

The Tigers are embarking into a new era, beginning their first season at the Gene Polisseni Center, located on the south end of campus. The building will have 4,000 seats, with additional standing room only space for a total capacity of 4,300 fans. Here is the complete 2014-15 RIT men's hockey schedule.

The Gene Polisseni Center will include general admission standing and bench seating (Student section, Corner Crew, Pep Band area), reserved chair back seating, as well as club seats, which include a full buffet, and cash bar. For a list of complete amenities available at the Gene Polisseni Center, click here.

Season-ticket holders enjoy great benefits, including 15 percent off hockey merchandise at Barnes and Noble at RIT, as well as discounts and specials at concession stands. Season ticket holders also receive exclusive invitations to "Skate with the Tigers", access to the annual season ticket holder party, the ability to purchase tickets to special events prior to going on sale to the general public, and exclusive deals and promotions.

In addition, with the purchase of any men's season ticket, fans are eligible to purchase a RIT women's hockey season ticket package for just $20. The RIT women's program begins its third season at the Division I level and is the defending College Hockey America Champions. The women's squad will play 17 games at the Gene Polisseni Center in 2014-15. Here is the complete 2014-15 RIT women's hockey schedule.

On Oct. 18, the RIT men will host perennial power Boston College at Blue Cross Arena, the focal point of RIT's Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend. RIT has drawn a sellout crowd of 10,556 fans for each of the last four Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend contests, selling out last year's game against Michigan 15 days in advance.

This will mark the second straight year that reserved seating is in effect for the Brick City Homecoming game at Blue Cross Arena. All tickets purchased will have a designated section, row, and seat number. Please plan appropriately, because tickets and seat arrangements will not be able to be refunded or changed once purchased. Tickets for that game go on sale July 28th.

Fans will be able to purchase a full season ticket package with all 18 games, including the contest at Blue Cross Arena on Oct. 18 and the 17 games played at the Gene Polisseni Center.

Junior Tigers fans can join the RIT Jr. Hockey Booster Club and receive a free Junior Tiger Hockey t-shirt, membership card, and free admission to selected RIT home games. Group rates are also available this season, starting August 19. To purchase either a RIT Jr. Hockey Booster Club membership or group seating, please call (585) 475-3980 or email Jordan Steffan at Jordan.steffan@rit.edu. To receive the group discount, a minimum of 10 tickets must be purchased in advance.

The Tigers enter their tenth season at the NCAA Division I level. Last season, RIT finished with a 12-20-5 record and advanced to the Atlantic Hockey Association First Round. The Tigers are four seasons removed from their magical run to the 2010 NCAA Frozen Four.
