ROCHESTER, NY -- Former RIT men's lacrosse standout
Colin Jesien (Cambridge, MD/Cambridge-S. Dorchester) '06 has been selected to play for Team Poland in the FIL World Lacrosse Championships to be held Manchester, England from July 15-24.
Poland is 2-1 in pool play in the yellow bracket with wins over Bermuda and Denmark. The team's lone loss came against Finland and the squad wraps up group play today with a game versus Bermuda.
Jesien has starred for the Polish side and is tied for tenth among all scorers at the championships with 15 points on nine goals and six assists.
Jesien helped lead the tigers to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2006 his senior season and was a to the second team All-Empire 8 selection. He played in 17-of-18 games his senior season recording 25 points on 18 goals and 7 assists. Jesien finished his career with 88 points on 57 goals and 31 assists.
