ROCHESTER, NY - Five members of the No. 4 RIT women's hockey team (19-4-3) earned 2010 All-ECAC West Conference honors on Thursday.  Freshman #Kim Schlattman (Stratford, Ontario/Cambridge Fury)# was named the conference's Rookie of the Year, while juniors #Sarah Dagg (St. George, Ontario/Hamilton Hawks) and Katie Stack (Batavia, NY/Rochester Edge)# were first team selections.  Junior defenseman #Traci Galbraith (Oakville, Ontario/Burlington Jr. Barracudas)# was an honorable mention selection, while freshman defenseman #Ariane Yokoyama (Van Nuys, CA/LA Selects)# was named to the All-Rookie Team.

Dagg, a second team selection in 2009, leads the Tigers and is second nationally in scoring with 44 points (16-28-44).  Her 28 assists leads the nation.  She led all scorers in ECAC West play with 35 points (13-22-35).  Dagg became the seventh Tiger to eclipse 100 career points on Feb. 7 against Chatham.  Dagg has 111 points (44-67-111) in 78 career games.  This season, Dagg has a point in 19 different contests and 15 multiple-point efforts.  She was a 2009 RBK All-American.

Stack, a second team selection in 2009 and All-Rookie team pick in 2008, leads the nation with 31 goals, and 10 power-play tallies.  In 18 ECAC West games, Stack led the league with 22 goals.  This season, Stack has five hat-tricks, a team record.  She has scored a goal in 19 different games this season and has 11 multiple-point efforts.  Stack needs just two points to become the eighth Tiger to record 100 for her career.  Stack now has 61 goals, third most all-time at RIT.

Schlattman, a first-year forward, is tied for second nationally among all rookies in scoring with 27 points (5-22-27).  In ECAC West play, she tied for the scoring lead among all first year players with 18 points (4-14-18).  Schlattman has eight points in her last six games and opened the season with 15 points in her first nine contests.  She was RIT's lone player to earn two honors, garnering and All-Rookie Team accolades as well.

Galbraith, an honorable mention selection in 2009, and All-Rookie Team pick in 2008, leads all RIT defensemen with four goals, 13 assists and 17 points.  In 18 ECAC West games, Galbraith tallied 12 points (3-9-12).  She has 49 points (15-34-49) in 78 career games.

Yokoyama has enjoyed a strong season playing primarily on defense.  She has one goal and 11 assists for 12 points in 23 games.  In 15 ECAC West games, she recorded six points.  Yokoyama is a main reason why the Tiger defense has allowed just 1.79 goals and 17.8 shots per game.

The Tigers are the No. 3 seed in the 2009 ECAC West Championship Tournament hosted by SUNY Plattsburgh this weekend. RIT will play No. 2 Elmira, who is third in the nation (20-4-1) in the second semifinal on Saturday at 7 p.m. Top-seeded Plattsburgh, (22-1-2) ranked first in the nation, will host No. 4 Utica (13-11-2) in the first semfinal on Saturday at 4 p.m. The two winners will meet in the championship game on Sunday at 3 p.m.
