The Rochester Institute of Technology men’s hockey and men’s basketball game programs are among the finest in the NCAA. In addition to team outlooks, coaching profiles, player profiles, history, record books, and opponents section, this year’s game program will be supplemented each night with Tiger Tails, which contains up-to-the minute statistics, scouting reports, league standings and game day notes.

These programs are well-distributed throughout the Rochester area, with an estimated readership of over 20,000. Our game programs are read by current student-athletes, prospective recruits, parents of current and prospective student-athletes, alumni, general student body (15,300), RIT faculty/staff/administration (2,500), opposing teams, fellow sponsors, fans, and many more people associated with the Tiger Athletics.

The Rochester Institute of Technology as a whole with more than 2,500 employees, now ranks ninth in the Rochester region according to the Rochester Business Journal of private-sector employment. In addition to being available at RIT home games, game programs can be found in the lobbies of many Rochester area businesses, many of them whom are active sponsors of Rochester Institute of Technology Athletics like yourself. Your sponsorship advertisements are featured in the men’s hockey and men’s basketball media guides.

Your support goes directly to our 450-plus student-athletes and coaching staffs which comprise RIT’s 24 men’s and women’s varsity intercollegiate programs. Sponsorship revenue will help fund the production of game programs for all of RIT’s 24 varsity athletic programs, pocket schedules, roster sheets and posters. In addition, your support will also help supplement the expense of preseason training for our fall athletes, southern road trips for our spring sports, and additions to our varsity athletic weight room which benefit all of our programs.

While RIT’s student-athletes experience great success in their athletic endeavors, they are tremendously successful in the classroom with the overall RIT athletic grade point average in 2001-02 over a 3.0, which exceeds that of the general student body. This success can be directly linked to the values learned from participation in athletics at RIT. Our programs provide development of leadership skills and values, reinforce commitments, promote campus spirit and provide visibility for the Institute.

These leadership skills, teamwork and commitments to success provides an edge for the student-athletes when searching for cooperative education assignments and future employment after graduation. Thus, RIT athletics also helps provide well-rounded individuals who will serve as future employees to local organizations, as well as, future buyers of products and services. In fact, many of our current sponsors have already experienced the excellence our student-athletes possess, while completing co-ops at their businesses or as full-time employees and use their advertisements as a way to recruit future employees.

We hope that you can join RIT in our pursuit of excellence by joining our team as a supporter of Tiger Athletics.
