ROCHESTER, NY – Six members of the RIT men's tennis team were named to the 2011 Empire 8 Men's Tennis All-Conference team on Thursday. Sophomore Will Abisalih (Merrimac, MA/Phillips Exeter Academy) was a second team selection at singles and earned second team doubles with junior Tennyson Saucedo (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland). Sophomore Neville Bilimoria (Mumbai/Schiller International) was also a second team selection at singles and earned second team doubles along with junior Larry Hall (Fairport, NY/Fairport). Abisalih finished Empire 8 play with a record of 6-2 at second singles and an overall record of 7-6. Abisalih and Saucedo were 8-6 at first doubles. The pair won four straight doubles matches in April.

Bilimoria was 9-3 at third singles, winning six straight matches in the month of April. He teamed up with Hall to finish 9-3 at second doubles, as they won their first six matches of the season.

One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2009 Men's Tennis Sportsman of the Year Team. Empire 8 emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen.

Hall went 7-6, primarily at fourth singles. He was named the RIT Male Athlete of the Week on April 11.

Baptiste and Bogue finished 7-3 at third doubles with a conference record of 5-1. The duo won four straight doubles matches in the month of April.

RIT finished the 2011 season with a 7-7 overall record and were 6-2 in the Empire 8. The Tigers fell to Stevens in the semifinals.
