ROCHESTER, NY - Freshmen forwards #Ali Hills (Honeoye Falls, NY)# (Honeoye Falls, NY) and #Megan Kobar (Calgary, Alberta)# (Calgary, Alberta) of the RIT women's hockey team were named the ECAC West Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, on Monday, for the week ending November 23, 2008.

Hills, the ECAC West Player of the Week, tallied three goals as RIT swept Potsdam.  Hills scored once on Friday and twice in Saturday's 4-1 win.  Hills is third on the team with four goals and seven points in seven games this season.
Kobar, named the ECAC West Rookie of the Week, scored her first three collegiate goals as RIT swept Potsdam by scores of 6-0 and 4-1 over the weekend.  Kobar tallied her first two goals, including the game-winner on Friday and tallied the game-opening goal again on Saturday.

RIT, ranked fifth in the nation, is 5-1-1 overall and 4-1-1 in ECAC West play.  Last weekend, the Tigers swept SUNY Potsdam on the road, 6-0 and 4-1.  The Tigers return to the ice on Wednesday, November 3, as they host Hamilton College in a non-conference contest starting at 7 p.m.
