ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT men's hockey team travels to Storrs, Conn. to play the University of Connecticut in a pair of Atlantic Hockey Association games on Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m.

RIT (4-6-1, 3-2-1 AHA) split a pair of home contests against Army last weekend, losing 5-3 in the opener and rebounding to win 6-3 on Saturday.  The six goals scored by the Tigers on Saturday were the most since they potted six against Bentley on Feb. 24, 2007.  RIT broke a 3-3 third period tie with a trio of goals scored by Brennan Sarazin (Nepean, Ontario/Nepean Raiders) (Nepean, Ontario), Mike Janda (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Chicago Steel) (Glyn Ellen, IL) and Cameron Burt (Detroit, Mich./Green Bay Gamblers) (Detroit, MI).  Junior defenseman Dan Ringwald (Oakville, Ontario/Oakville Blades) (Oakville, Ontario) leads RIT with 10 assists and 11 points.  Goaltender Jared DeMichiel (Avon, Conn./Chicago Steel) (Avon, CT) is 3-2-0 with a 2.42 goals against average and .914 save percentage.

Connecticut (2-8-0, 2-3-0 Atlantic Hockey) comes into the weekend series having lost six straight games.  The Huskies have struggled offensively, with just six goals in the last six games.  Last weekend, the Huskies were swept at Canisius, 6-0 and 3-2 in overtime.  Andrew Olson leads the team in scoring with eight points on six goals and two assists.

RIT leads the all-time series between the two schools, 6-4-1.  Last season, RIT went 0-1-1 against the Huskies in two road meetings.  RIT out-shot Connecticut 40-23 in the first meeting but were shutout by Beau Erickson, 3-0.  The next night, RIT jumped out to 1-0 lead, but settled for a 1-1 tie.  Andrew Favot (King City, Ontario/Aurora Tigers) (King City, Ontario) scored the lone goal for RIT.
