William Toporcer served RIT for 25 years, 18 as the men’s tennis coach. The former Rochester Singles Tennis Champion developed the sport from the time it was initiated at RIT in 1953, compiling a 65-52 record. Toporcer served as secretary of the Athletic Committee for 18 years, and was always willing to serve as a timer or judge for a track or cross country meet.
