Thomas Peeples Jr., a native of Dorchester, Mass., was one of the premier sprinters in all of Division III during his four years at RIT. From 1990-1994, he lost only one hurdles race against Division III opponents in regular season competition. The 1994 RIT Senior Athlete of the Year was a five-time All-American hurdler and won four Empire Athletic Association championships in the 110-meter hurdles and the high jump. Peeples was named the RIT Athlete of the Week on 13 different occasions and holds four school records. He won the Walls-Olsen Memorial Scholarship for outstanding contributions to RIT student life. Peeples, a mechanical engineering major, is a company commander in the United States ROTC program.
