While Sue (Traynor) Pail played four sports at RIT, she excelled as a sweeper on the women’s soccer team and served as a student trainer. She was named Senior Women’s Athlete of the Year in 1997 and earned All-Empire Athletic Association honors in 1994 as a sophomore. She was a four-year starter in soccer and spearheaded a strong defense. As a member of the softball team, Sue played in 82 games, hitting .275 with a fielding average of .980. The team was 67-62 during her career. As a member of the hockey team, Sue played in 44 games with six goals and five assists. The team was 33-32-2. She played singles and doubles for the tennis team in one year of competition. Academically, she maintained a 3.56 grade point average and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in her fifth year.
