In the storied history of men’s soccer at RIT, Steve Teremy may well be the finest player to wear the Tiger uniform. Twice All-New York State and three times RIT Most Valuable Player, Teremy competed from 1967-69, tallying 59 goals in 45 games. That feat has yet to be equaled. The Rochester native also holds the school mark for most goals in a season, collecting 22 in 1968. During his career, RIT compiled a record of 28 wins, 14 losses and three ties. Teremy scored 16, 22 and 21 goals in his three varsity seasons. In 1968 the Tigers finished 13-3, setting a then record for most wins in a season, standing until 1982. From 1978-80, he worked as a radio commentator for the Rochester Lancers.
