At one time or another in his distinguished career, track and field star Bob Masiulis held school marks in three weight events (discus, hammer and shot put). In 1974, Masiulis narrowly missed All-American honors, placing seventh in the discus. Masiulis compiled 716 career points in four years and was the all-time scoring leader until 1978 when Hall of Famer Mark Stebbins broke the mark. In his four seasons, Masiulis guided RIT to an enviable 42-0 dual record, four Upper New York State championships and two Independent College Athletic Conference titles. He won 12 individual state titles and 10 ICAC crowns over the same four-year period. In 1974, Masiulis shared Male Athlete of the Year honors with Hall of Fame member Don Carlson.
