A native of Henrietta, N.Y., Rob Grow played three years of baseball and took over as coach in 1992. As an infielder/outfielder, the two-year captain compiled a .342 batting average and a .953 fielding average. His best season was 1988 when he hit .419. In 1987 he was named All-Independent College Athletic Conference. He has more wins than anyone in RIT baseball history (218). His teams have set numerous records, including most consecutive wins (eight) and best batting average in a season (.326). Six players were All-New York State, 32 were All-League and nine played in All-Star games. Three players were named Academic All-American. In 2000 he was Empire 8 Coach of the Year. In addition to coaching, he was director of Reunions and Affinity Groups for the RIT Alumni Relations Office.
