Ritchie Herbert was one of the most prolific scorers in RIT Hockey history. He is one of the only eight players to score 200 career points and sits in eight place on RIT’s all-time scoring list.
Herbert was the ECAC Rookie of the Year in 1984, helping RIT to a 29-6-0 overall record and trip to the NCAA Tournament. He was an All-ECAC first team selection in 1986 and 1987 and was a member of the 1985 national championship team.
Herbert is tied for ninth in points in a season with 65 in 1985-86. He is eighth at RIT in career goals with 88 and second all-time in games played with 130. Herbert’s 30 career power play goals is tied for fourth all time. He is tied for 10th all-time in game-winning goals with ten.
