Richard Zoyhofski had an outstanding wrestling career at RIT, winning 38 of 42 matches, including a string of 23 consecutive victories. He was undefeated as a freshman (10-0), junior (10-0) and senior (6-0-1). A team captain and native of Orchard Park, N.Y., Zoyhofski was RIT Athlete of the Year in 1960-61 and was a prime factor in the team compiling a 35-10-2 record during his tenure as a 157-pound wrestler. A highlight of his career came his junior year when he captured the prestigious 4-I Tournament, defeating some of the nation’s top wrestlers. As a freshman, he took second place in the West Point Invitational.
