From Rensselaer, N.Y., Kristina Schulze Keer was a versatile track performer from 1990 to 1993. Named Senior Athlete of the Year in 1993 and a six-time Athlete of the Week selection, Kristina competed in the grueling indoor pentathlon and outdoor heptathlon. She started winning state titles in 1990, taking the pentathlon. After missing the 1991 season due to injury, she came back in 1992 to win pentathlon and heptathlon crowns. As a senior, she captured the indoor and outdoor titles. She also set school records with 3,767 points in the heptathlon and 2,693 in the pentathlon. Keer also set school marks in the 800 meters, 40-meter hurdles, long jump and indoor and outdoor high jumps.
