Kelly Collins and Patty (Durbak) were a formidable duo in the early 1980s. During the time they were thwarting the opposition, players were only permitted to play single or doubles. When Coach Nealon tabbed them as doubles partners, little did she know history was in the making.  In 1984, Collins played her senior campaign with Leslie Cummings. The two combined for an 8-1 record and 16-5 overall mark. Collins and Cummings won the EAA championship in 1984 as the Tigers captured their first conference title. During their three-year stint, Neuhoff and Collins sported a 30-0 dual match record and never lost a single set. Neuhoff came to RIT in 1980, and teamed with Cindy James for a 6-1 doubles mark. The next three seasons she was paired with Collins. Neuhoff and Collins finished third in the 1983 NYSWCAAs, helping lead RIT to its first state title. RIT placed third at states in 1981 and second in 1982. The Tigers were 34-1 over that same three-year period. Neuhoff, a native of Schenectady, N.Y., received her bachelor’s degree in packaging science in 1984. Collins, a native of Cortland, N.Y., received her bachelor’s degree in business and information science in 1985.
