Katie (Stack) Helser was a major factor in the success of RIT women’s hockey at the Division III level. In four seasons, she played in 109 games, scoring a program-record 81 goals and adding 57 assists for 138 points, which is third most at RIT. She also holds RIT career records with 29 power play goals and nine short-handed tallies. Helser was a three time All-ECAC West selection and earned American College Hockey Association All-American honors in 2009-10 and 2010-11. In 2009-10, she was named the Paychex Local Female College Athlete of the Year. That same season, Helser led the nation with 31 goals and 10 power play tallies. In 2008-09, she led all of Division III with five shorthanded goals. During her four seasons, the Tigers finished 85-17-7, while advancing to the NCAA Division III National Championship game in 2010-11. RIT qualified for the ECAC West playoffs four times and won the league title in 2010-11.
