A native of Unionville, Pa., Karen Provinski Conlan was the epitome of a student-athlete. Named Senior Athlete of the Year in 1996, she also won the coveted Ellingson Award for academic excellence by a student-athlete. Karen was an Academic All-American, maintaining a 3.81 grade point average. On the court, the center/forward scored 932 career points despite missing 17 games with knee surgery. At the time she was the all-time leading scorer. She also pulled down 835 rebounds in her four years, a mark that still stands. At graduation, Karen was chosen to represent the senior class and addressed the Convocation and Commencement gatherings.
