Jesse Williamson excelled in both cross country and track. In cross country, he earned All-American honors in 2006 by placing 25th in the NCAA Division III Championships. Leading up to the nationals, Williamson captured New York State and Empire 8 titles and finished second at the 2006 NCAA Atlantic Region Championship. Williamson was a three-time All-Empire 8 selection and recorded a career-best time of 24:55.8 over 8,000-meters. In track, the Poughkeepsie, NY native was part of three record-setting relays (4 x 800-meter indoor relay team: 7:54.68 in 2004; 4 x 800-meter outdoor relay team: 7:52.40 in 2004, and indoor distance medley relay team: 10:06.29 in 2006). During his career, he also garnered All-Empire 8 titles in the 1,000-, 1,500- and 5,000-meter runs and the one-mile run. Williamson was also part of RIT’s Coast-to-Coast run in 2004, which celebrated the institute’s 175th Anniversary.
