Janet Testa-Fox was the first women’s hockey player to score 50 goals in a career. She wound up with 51 goals and 47 assists for 98 points, a school record that stood until 2004. She played forward and defense for the Tigers and captained the squad for two seasons. She was named Rookie of the Year in 1985-86. In 1988-89 she was named Most Spirited Player, Most Valuable Player and won the Fans Choice Award. She capped off her career by playing in the Senior All-Star Game with competitors from all divisions. She scored two goals and had one assist. Janet guided RIT to its first ECAC championship and the team’s first win over a Division I squad. Throughout her career, RIT played most of its schedule against Division I schools such as Northeastern, University of New Hampshire and Providence.
