Harold E. "Ed" Baucum came to RIT after playing four years of service basketball and led the RIT teams from 1955-56 to 1958-59. The 1955-56 squad is the lone team to be inducted into the RIT Sports Hall of Fame (2011). Baucum’s 1,384 career points are fourth in RIT history. When he graduated, Baucum was the all-time leading scorer in Tiger history. While at RIT, Baucum produced the first winter sports brochure, served as president of the Letterman's Club, was production manager of Reporter, and completed his academic career with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5.
