As a diver with the RIT swim team, Gregg Sheilbley quickly earned national accolades. In his junior year in 1986-87, the transfer from Indiana University of Pennsylvania became a two-time All-American by placing seventh in one-meter diving and 13th in three-meter diving at the NCAA Division III championship. The following year, the native of Mechanicsburg, PA, repeated his seventh place finish for his third All-American certificate. He also guided RIT to seventh and fourth place honors in the Upper New York State championships during his two seasons.
