Donald F. Thomas wrestled under the direction of Dr. Mark Ellingson. Thomas competed for three years and was captain of the undefeated 1931-32 team. He also won the Rochester City and Niagara AAU championships. Following graduation, Thomas gained distinction as an official and was head referee for the Canadian National Wrestling Championships from 1952-63. In addition, Thomas was also a founder of the RIT Wrestling Alumni Association.
