A two-sport athlete, Debbie Dourlain had a major impact on RIT athletics. Swimming was her forte. In two years, she earned 10 All-American honors. Dourlain won six New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association titles and scored 791 career points. During her two-year stint, the team compiled a 17-8 record, with 11th and 15th place NCAA finishes. Dourlain excelled in a number of events and was an integral part of several relays, recording seven school records. As a first baseman in softball, the Orchard Park, N.Y., native compiled a .350 career batting average and posted a .957 fielding mark.
