Few college athletes can boast excellence in more than one sport. Dave Stackwick did just that at RIT, excelling in baseball and basketball, earning Co-Male Athlete of the Year honors in 1976. In baseball Stackwick had a .271 career batting average and posted a career .951 fielding percentage. He was a two-time captain and was a two-time All-Independent College Athletic Conference selection. He started every game at second base throughout his four-year career and helped the Tigers to an ECAC playoff bid in 1976.

On the basketball court Stackwick was captain of the team his senior season and helped RIT to a 20-win season and their first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Known more as a floor general than a scorer, he averaged 5.5 points and 3.9 assists in two varsity seasons and was an Honorable Mention All-Independent College Athletic Conference selection.

Dave currently resides in Rochester where he is a supervisor at Paychex. He has two sons, Casey and David.
