A native of Lewiston, N.Y., Bonnie Matthew compiled an enviable 50-13 record during her four years, mainly in the first singles slot. Named Senior Female Athlete of the Year in 1983, Matthew posted a 16-4 record that year and earned runner-up honors in the New York State championship. A former school record holder for most career wins (50) and wins in a season (16). Matthew helped guide RIT to a 39-4 record during her career. In her senior year the Tigers took second place in the state championship. Named Athlete of the Week six times in four seasons. Matthew was a finalist in the Rochester Press-Radio Club College Woman of the Year competition in 1983.
