Blaise MacDonald, originally from Billerica, Mass., led the RIT men’s hockey team to two NCAA National Championships, first as a Division II program in 1982-83 and as a Division III program in 1984-85. MacDonald graduated with a degree in business administration. During his final season as a Tiger, MacDonald was team captain, earned first-team all-ECAC honors and was named a first-team All-American. He was a two-time team unsung hero and led the Tigers to a 99-31-2 record in four seasons. MacDonald scored 13 goals and added 106 assists for 119 points. His 106 assists and 119 points are third best among all RIT defensemen.
