Arthur J. Blanchette was one of RIT's first football stars, who also served as president of the Student Council, and went on to become secretary of Rochester Lumber Company. The Massena, N.Y. native was part of the 1921, 1922, and 1923 teams, running from a halfback slot. One of his best games was in 1922 when Mechanics Institute romped over Rochester School of Optometry, 46-0.
