Winning came naturally for Arnold ‘Skip’ White. Named Athlete of the Year in 1972, White wrestled at 150 and 158 pounds. In four seasons, he compiled a 90-13-1 overall record and ranks among the top three in all-time victories. In two of his seasons, White was undefeated in dual match competition, posting a 12-0 mark in 1970-71 and 13-0 in 1971-72. The native of Dewitt, N.Y., competed in three NCAA College Division championships that featured wrestlers from Division II and III schools. He placed seventh in 1969-70 and reached the quarterfinals in 1970-71. White was a three-year captain, won three New York State championships against all divisions and captured two RIT Invitational crowns. He was also inducted into the New York State Wrestlers Hall of Fame. He served one season as assistant coach.
