A native of Salem, Ct., Allison Griggs was a standout four-year member of the RIT women's track and field team from 2003-2007. A two-time All-American in the hammer throw. Griggs also competed in the discus, shot put and 20-pound weight throw during indoor and outdoor campaigns and was named RIT Senior Female Athlete of the Year in 2007. Along the way, she set four school records that still stand. Griggs was also the Atlantic Region Track and Field Female Athlete of the Year and New York State (NYSCTC) Outdoor Field Performer of the Meet in 2004. Griggs placed in every event she competed in at the state and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.
