Caitlyn Burr will look for All-American honors in the 200-yard individual medley at the 2010 NCAA Championships.

ROCHESTER, NY -
Senior swimmer Caitlyn Burr (Delhi, NY/Delaware Academy) is representing RIT at the 2010 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships which will take place from March 17-20 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.  It is her third straight appearance at the NCAA Championships.  She is a two-time honorable mention All-American.

Burr finished 22nd in the 200-yard individual medley on Wednesday, with a time of 2:07.36.  On Thursday, Burr placed 25th overall in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.83 seconds.  She finished 20th in the 200-yard butterfly on Friday with a time of 2:06.66. 

Burr has eighth fastest time in the nation in the 200-individual medley (2:05.53). She was an honorable mention All-American last season in the same event last year. Burr currently holds eight different individual RIT school records and five relay records.

Last year, Burr earned honorable mention All-American honors in the 200-yard individual medley and 200-yard butterfly.

In 2008, Burr competed in the 200-yard individual medley, and 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA Tournament.
