PITTSBURGH, PA -
Freshman forward Kayla Ross (Altoona, PA/Gilmour Academy) tallied a career-high four points, as the RIT women's hockey team (14-4-3, 9-3-2 ECAC West) cruised to an 8-0 win over Chatham, 7-1 on Monday afternoon.  RIT has now won four straight contests.

Today's game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was postponed due to inclement weather in the Pittsburgh area.

Ross opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the first period, then assisted on a tally by Katie Stack (Batavia, NY/Rochester Edge) later in the period.  Ross assisted on a goal by Missy Hall (Chesterland, OH/Gilmour Academy) early in the second period, then closed out the scoring with her eighth goal of the season in the third period.

Sarah Dagg (St. George, Ontario/Hamilton Hawks) added her 12th goal of the season and dished out two assists, giving her 36 points on the season, which ties for the national lead.

Junior Katie Stack (Batavia, NY/Rochester Edge) scored for the seventh straight game.  She now has 25 goals on the season, first in Division III.  Stack has 18 goals in 14 ECAC West games.  She has 12 goals during the seven-game streak.

RIT goaltender Carley King (Tinley Park, IL/Chicago Young Americans) picked up her second straight shutout, stopping 22 shots in the victory, her sixth of the season.

Kylie Mazzetta (Lakewood, CO/Colorado Selects), Hall, Kim Schlattman (Stratford, Ontario/Cambridge Fury), and Jamie Parhar (Calgary, Alberta/Calgary Flyers) also scored for the Tigers.  Schlattman, Kristina Moss (Webster, NY/Buffalo Bisons), and Traci Galbraith (Oakville, Ontario/Burlington Jr. Barracudas) added two assists apiece.

The Tigers out-shot Chatham, 41-22.  RIT scored twice with the man-advantage.  The Tigers are 6-0 all-time against Chatham.

Yesterday, Dagg became the seventh player in the history of the women's program to hit 100 career points in RIT's 7-1 win.

The Tigers return to action on Friday and Saturday, as they host ECAC West foe SUNY Cortland in a pair of games.  Both games begin at 7 p.m.  On Saturday, RIT will honor seniors Shireen Irani (Calgary, Alberta/PSA Chaos), Kelley Prom (Grafton, WI/Wisconsin Wild), and Missy Hall (Chesterland, OH/Gilmour Academy).
