ROCHESTER, NY -- Junior guard Anthony Terry (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney) was named Empire 8 Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending February 21, 2010.

Terry averaged 17.0 points, 3.3 steals, and 2.0 assists as RIT won three games to keep their playoff hopes alive. He scored 17 points and recorded four steals in the Tigers' 69-49 victory over Alfred on Tuesday, and tallied 13 points, four assists, and three steals in a 67-53 win at Hartwick. Terry rounded out the week with 21 points and three steals in a 91-75 Tigers' victory at Stevens.

He leads RIT in scoring averaging 16.2 points per game, and is second in assists averaging 2.56 per contest. RIT is 14-11 overall and will have their Empire 8 tournament fate decided on Tuesday. The Tigers ended the regular season on six-game winning streak and won 11 of their last 12 games.
