ROCHESTER, NY - Seniors Jeremy Tosh (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) and Anthony Culotta (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) were honored by the American Baseball Coaches Association, as the group selected its 2009 All-New York Region award winners on Tuesday.  Tosh was a second team selection, while Culotta was a gold glove winners.

Tosh was named to the All-Region team for the second time, also earning second team honors in 2006.  Tosh broke two 29-year old records held by RIT Hall of Famer Jeff Hall '80 in 2009. He became the single season leader for runs batted in with 41 and was the first Tigers to go over 100 RBI in a career (103). This was done in just three seasons, as Tosh was a pitcher in his first season at RIT. Overall, Tosh hit .363 with four home runs, 41 RBI and 25 runs scored. He finished his Tiger career in the top-10 in nearly every offensive category and was an All-Empire 8 first team selection for the third time in 2009 as well (2006, 2008, 2009).

Culotta garnered an All-Region Gold Glove award for the second time, as he also earned the honor in 2007.  This season, Culotta did not make an error in centerfield, while playing in 26 games.  He was perfect in all 45 chances he received in the outfield.  Culotta also hit .292 and finished his Tiger career with 27 stolen bases, eighth most at RIT.

RIT finished the season with a 19-20 record and was second in the Empire 8 conference.
